As a CPA with a career in tax accounting and having served as the chairman of the Senate Local Government and Taxation Committee, Brent has always advocated a tax structure consistent with principles of fairness, equity, and stability. Few government policies can rob our citizens of their freedoms more than an unfair tax system.

The social and economic future of Idaho depends on the quality education of our children. Our public schools always struggle for adequate funding. Brent spearheaded legislation providing incentives to businesses and individuals that contribute to schools in Idaho, significantly enhancing private donations for school activities and operations. He has also supported programs that encourage students to go on to college. Standards, proper funding and accountability must be top priorities in Idaho’s educational system.
Guards Our Natural Resources
Water is the lifeblood of Idaho. Proper management of our surface and groundwater is vital to the preservation of agriculture and other businesses and is essential to the growth and vitality of our communities. Idaho’s water and natural resources must be protected from federal intrusion. Public lands and predators within the state should be managed by Idahoans.
